Good Samaritan Health Center is offering FREE COVID-19 vaccinations to ANYONE 5 and older. We also have booster shots! If it has been 6 months or more since you received your COVID-19 vaccine, you likely qualify for a booster.We offer both the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines. If you would like to schedule an appointment, please call 404-523-6571 and select the option to schedule vaccinations.

The Department of Public Health has approved specific individuals to receive a booster dose of the Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines. The booster dose is a third injection of either the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine and is not a new vaccine. Individuals must meet one of the criteria below to receive a booster vaccine:

Been receiving active cancer treatment for tumors or cancers of the blood
Received an organ transplant and are taking medicine to suppress the immune system
Received a stem cell transplant within the last two years or are taking medication to suppress the immune system
Moderate or severe primary immunodeficiency (such as DiGeorge syndrome, Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome)
Advanced or untreated HIV infection
Active treatment with high-dose corticosteroids or other drugs that may suppress your immune response

If you do not have a condition on this list, even if you have a high-risk condition, you are not eligible for a booster at this time. Boosters for other high-risk individuals and the general population should be available in late September.

If you meet these criteria, your booster dose should be given at least four weeks after your second dose of the first two-part vaccine series. You should receive the same brand vaccine as you did for your first two. For example, if your first two vaccines were Pfizer, you should receive Pfizer for the booster. There is no booster recommended at this time if you received Johnson and Johnson, the single-dose vaccine.

Fulton County:

Fulton County Board of Health: Four locations in Atlanta and Alpharetta. Currently serving individuals in Phase 1A. Follow the link to determine your phase. Dekalb County:

Dekalb County Board of Health: Offers two vaccination sites in the Dekalb area (One in Atlanta, GA and one in Stonecrest, GA) at free cost by appointment only. Clayton County:

Forest Park Recreation Center: Offers vaccination for healthcare workers or people at or over the age of 65 and their caregivers. Patients must also live or work in Clayton County. To get the vaccine, you must have an appointment, which you can schedule by phone at (678) 479-2223 or online at the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BChttps://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BCCWRRDCWRRD. Site is only open on Saturdays from 9am-2pm.

Gwinnett County:

Gwinnett Clinic- Lawrenceville: Offers vaccination for healthcare workers, first responders, or people at or over the age of 65 and their caregivers. Priority is given to established patients (people who have been seen by a Gwinnett clinic doctor or nurse practitioner within the past three years). If you fit the criteria, complete the appointment request form online at their website, and they will call you when appointments are available. Print out the established patient packet on their website (https://www.gwinnettclinic.com/vaccine) and bring it to your appointment.

Norcross Health Center: Offers free COVID-19 vaccinations to healthcare workers, long-term care facility residents, first responders, and 65+ and caregivers. Appointments can be scheduled online. Buford-Norcross Primary Care: Two locations (Norcross and Alpharetta) in the Metro Atlanta area. Currently offers vaccinations to healthcare workers, first responders, long term facility residents and staff, and patients 65+ with caregivers. Cobb County:

Cobb & Douglas Public Health (Jim R. Miller Park): Offers vaccination to individuals who are healthcare or public safety employees or 65 year or older (in accordance with those included under Phase 1A). Vaccinations are only available to those who have scheduled an appointment on the Cobb & Douglas Public Health website. No walk-up appointments are available. Innovation Compounding: Drive-up vaccinations are available by appointment at https://vaxgeorgia.com for individuals who are eligible as part of Phase 1A+. Multiple Locations:

Publix Pharmacy: Some locations in Georgia are offering COVID-19 vaccinations. Currently offered to first responders, healthcare workers, individuals ages 65 and older and their caregivers, and residents and staff of long-term care facilities. Ingles Market: Offers vaccinations at several locations in Georgia and the Atlanta Area.

Please note, Good Sam+CVS does not do testing for travel or back to work testing. Below you will find additional testing options for COVID-19. This information can change quickly so we recommend you call or check the website to confirm all information. Good Samaritan does not schedule or receive results from these locations.

RAPID TESTING: Piedmont Urgent Care offers results in 2-4 days and offers back to work testing. Rapid testing is also available. A virtual or in-center visit is required before testing is granted. The test is free with insurance, or $155 without insurance. To make an appointment visit wellstreet.com.

RAPID TESTING: Eastside Urgent Care offers drive-thru testing with results in 2-3 days. Rapid testing is also available with results as fast as fifteen minutes. No appointment is needed. The test is free with insurance and $175 without insurance. Visit eastsideuc.com for more information.

RAPID TESTING: Peachtree Immediate Care offers drive-thru testing to adults and children over the age of 2 (minors must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian). A PCR test is only available to those who are symptomatic or have had exposure to a person who tested positive for COVID-19. The standard test provided is a rapid antigen test. You must request a PCR test. Results are available within 3 days. The test is free with insurance or $175 without insurance. An appointment is required and can be made online by visiting: peachtreemed.com.

Summit Urgent Care offers drive-thru PCR testing with results in 2-4 days. The test is free with insurance. A virtual visit with a provider is required prior to the test (visit is free with insurance or $75 without insurance).

Our Response to COVID-19

Good Samaritan Health Center continues to closely monitor recommendations from the CDC and the Department of Health. We have taken the following actions to support our patients, staff, and community:

We have a protocol in place to maximize the identification and appropriate assessment of people suspected to have coronavirus while minimizing exposure to the staff and other patients.
We have a phone call response protocol to help inform and direct patients, increasing the number of people who can receive appropriate guidance without coming into the clinic.
We have increased our supply of protective equipment and are working through the Network to have access to additional supplies if needed.
We have a weekly all-staff update to keep our staff informed of changes and review polities.
