OUR MISSION
Good Samaritan Health Center is a 501c3 non-profit health center with a mission of “spreading Christ’s love to quality health care to those in need.” Located in a Health Professional Shortage Area, Good Samaritan serves uninsured and low-income families throughout metro Atlanta. Using our Full Circle of Health® care model, we provide comprehensive primary care, dental, behavioral health, and case management services along with health education classes, a community fitness center, full retail pharmacy, and a farmer’s market providing affordable produce from our one-acer urban farm. We are a certified Patient Centered Medical Home. We envision an integrated health center which centers the health of each individual and provides the mix of services needed to help each person live a healthy life.

CURRENT OPENINGS
Clinical Psychologist
We are seeking a part-time clinical psychologist to join our primary care team in providing high quality assessment and interventions to our patients. The ideal candidate is a compassionate provider committed to our mission of “spreading Christ’s love through quality health care to those in need,” with a specific interest in providing psychology services in a primary care setting. Primary responsibilities include regular interdisciplinary consultation with physicians and advanced practitioners, administration and interpretation of screening measures and psychological and neurocognitive assessment tools, engaging with patients, and providing brief evidence-based interventions with patients across the lifespan. The psychologist may also assist in disability evaluations, behavioral health assessments for housing, and supervising doctoral students. The psychologist will be involved in the ongoing development of this role and its integration with primary care at Good Samaritan.
The position is part-time with the potential for growth as the program develops.
Psychologist Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer and interpret screening measures and psychological and neurocognitive assessment tools
- Engage in regular consultation and collaboration with members of the primary care team
- Provide evidence-based interventions as deemed appropriate
- Contribute to the development of this role and the psychology program at Good Samaritan
- Supervise and support the incorporation of doctoral students.
- Maintain Licensure requirements.
Psychologist Requirements & Skills
- Demonstrate familiarity with high-risk populations, community psychology care, and integrated primary care.
- Hold a Ph.D. or PsyD
- Ability to work with interpreters and/or language line services
- Background check required on employment
- Updated COVID vaccination

Good Samaritan Health Center is a faith‑based nonprofit committed to spreading Christ’s love through quality health care for those in need. We provide adult and pediatric medical care, dental services, and mental health counseling in a collaborative, patient‑centered environment. We are seeking a PRN Guest Services Representative to support our front desk team and ensure a welcoming, efficient experience for every patient and visitor.
The ideal candidate is a compassionate, detail‑oriented individual who thrives in a fast‑paced setting and is committed to excellent customer service. Bilingual applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
Guest Services Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality customer service to patients and visitors
- Answer and route incoming phone calls
- Schedule, cancel, and register patient appointments in person and by phone
- Collaborate with nursing staff to resolve patient and pharmacy inquiries
- Verify patient demographics and insurance information for accurate billing
- Communicate pre‑appointment requirements and explain income‑based programs such as the Sliding Fee Scale
- Process patient payments and complete end‑of‑day reports
Guest Services Requirements & Skills
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum one year of medical office experience
- Bilingual preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well under pressure
- Professional, friendly demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to serve as a liaison between patients and clinical staff

Medical Billing & Coding Specialist/ Guest Services Representative
Good Samaritan Health Center is currently seeking a Medical Billing & Coding Specialist/Guest Services Representative. The Medical Billing & Coding Specialist supports both the Guest Services (front desk) and Medical teams while contributing to the financial sustainability of the clinic. This dual‑role position helps us live out our mission of spreading Christ’s love through quality health care to those in need by ensuring excellent patient experience and accurate billing processes. The specialist works closely with providers, medical assistants, Guest Services representatives, and clinic leadership to maintain smooth daily operations and timely reimbursement.
Front Desk & Billing & Coding Responsibilities
- Front desk support, including patient check‑in, scheduling, insurance verification, and payment collection
- Medical billing and coding using ICD‑10, CPT, and HCPCS
- Claims submission and follow‑up to resolve denials and ensure accurate reimbursement
- Patient communication regarding appointments, billing questions, and account balances
- EHR documentation and compliance with HIPAA and clinic standards
Skills & Experience
- Medical billing certification (CBCS, CMRS, CPB, or CPC)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of experience in medical billing, coding, or front desk operations
- Knowledge of ICD‑10, CPT, and insurance guidelines
- Experience with EHR systems (Athena preferred)
- Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills

Part-Time Farm Hand
The Farm at Good Sam is seeking a part‑time Farm Hand to join our small, collaborative team. We grow Certified Naturally Grown produce on our one‑acre farm to support our onsite market and provide fresh, affordable food to our patients and neighbors. This role is hands‑on, mission‑driven, and rooted in Good Sam’s commitment to serving our community with care and dignity.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily farm setup and end‑of‑day cleanup
- Wash, sort, and package produce for market
- Harvest crops alongside Farm Managers
- Weed, thin seedlings, and maintain crop beds
- Support planting, greenhouse seeding, and transplanting
- Help with pest management and season‑extension tools
- Transport mulch, compost, and materials as needed
- Follow Certified Naturally Grown (CNG) standards in all tasks
Requirements
- Willingness to learn and work both independently and as part of a small team
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate respectfully with staff, volunteers, and community members
- Comfort working outdoors in all weather and around insects
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (occasionally 100 lbs. with assistance)
- Physical stamina for bending, kneeling, walking, and repetitive tasks
