What's Happening at Good Sam?

This past year Good Sam broke ground on our Full Circle of Health Capital Campaign Expansion project! Concrete is moving so we can build our new fitness center (operated by the YMCA of Metro Atlanta), outdoor farmer's market & activity pavilion, and event space to benefit our neighbors on Atlanta’s Westside.

This project has been a long time coming, but we are thrilled to be at this point and eager to expand our healthy eating/exercise programs to our neighbors with heart disease, diabetes, and other health-related illnesses. The fitness center and farmer’s market pavilion will be open to the surrounding community - you do not need to be an existing patient of Good Sam to benefit – although we would love to be your medical home if you reside in ZIP codes 30318 or 30314.

CONSTRUCTION

Interior work continues!

UPDATE

Interior work in the fitness center continues. The drywall is hung and painted! The fitness center will match the look & feel of the group fitness room in the main clinic building in terms of color scheme (beige and cyan).

Overhead fans and light fixtures have been hung in the pavilion. The outdoor fireplace structure is built and next steps are to add the stone and a brass topper.

This week we’ll begin installing pavers and pouring cement for outdoor benches. Irrigation and power work is also beginning. Landscaping to begin soon!
