About Dr. Carmon
After receiving his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree form Xavier University of Louisiana, Dr. Carmon completed post graduate training at Ocshner Medical Center in New Orleans. He has spent over twelve years focusing on the management of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases through clinical pharmacy practice, academia, and research. After holding clinical positions with Wellstar and adjunct academic positions at Mercer University Pharmacy School and Emory University Physician Assistant Program Medical amongst others, Dr. Carmon has spent the last three years in Medical Affairs with various pharmaceutical companies focusing on research and supporting initiatives in the diabetes space. He has authored several publications highlighting health and economic outcomes of  insulin utilization.

Currently he is the Regional Director of Medical Research and Science for OPKO Health’s Renal Division. As a volunteer of Good Sam of more than  6 years, he is very happy to have the opportunity to participate in this event.
